Tree Character

For this exercise we had to take research pictures of trees and use them for inspiration to make a character

I then took one of the sketches I liked and built upon it:

Overall I am pleased with the result since I was looking to create a creature that resembled some sort of infected slug or insect. Since most trees sometimes have strange growths that tend to either round off into boil shapes or just stop growing, I figured my character should resemble these trees as if it was being mutated. The original sketch was a lot more bloodied than the result turned out but I still think it conveys the infection well.
